Re: How to make beer with EZ Caps

I tried a coffee filter one time on a 1 gallon batch of wine I made and it didn't work so well. It will quickly clog and after messing with it for 30 minutes, you will get sick of the idea. I haven't come up with a cheap way to filter wine that actually works. The best thing I know to do is to be ca...

Re: Non-Sparkling?

Question #7: I want to try a non-sparkling fermented beverage. Can I do this with EZ Caps? Answer: Yes. Follow the beverage making instructions but after two days unscrew the EZ Cap most of the way. The juice will ferment, but the CO2 will escape, and the beverage will not be carbonated. OK but won...

Re: Easy wine recipe

Trust me, I've been making home made wine for over 10 years and you wont want 100% cranberry juice in a wine. The acid level is ridiculously high and it is so tart that it makes your face pucker up. I make a Christmas wine that is 75% white grape and 25% cranberry (plus other spices) and it comes ou...

Re: question about clarifying

I had a 5 gallon batch of white wine that took almost 6 months to clear naturaly. If you are in a hurry try a product named Sparkeloid. It is easy and fast and leaves the wine extreemly clear. If you live in a cold climate you can also use what is refered to as cold filtering. When the temp stays be...

Re: Yeast

2) You are starting your batch with billions of more yeast than if you pitch the normal amount. Your beverage will ferment much faster and will finish sooner. True it will ferment faster but this can also cause an off taste. Fermenting too fast or too slow will affect the taste of the wine. The bes...
