Honey Mead. This is actually called: Cyser: Mead with apples juice added. Sounds good!

Yes! It is a Cyser!

But most people have never heard of the term, but that's OK too.

i'm really excited about doing up a mead, but i'll probably boil the wort a few minutes first. i know that honey itself is not a great fermentable and many people use some yeast nutrients in it. with the added apple juice however i think that would be enough sweets for the yeast to feast on.

I don't mind adding extra steps. Boiling the honey and straining off the foam that rises to the top is said to lessen the mead hangover.

or just consuming less. Hmmm... that's not easy with a good mead! :lol:

Just made the basic cider but I'm wanting to experiment and see if I can make a spiced cider anyone have any experience with this one?

Hello from the Midlands in England.
New to this forum and just recieved our kit.... many thanks...
Got started today.... BUT how the hell do you measure 0.06ml OR 1/16 of a teaspoon of the yeast.... please help.... :D
