Cranberry/Pomogranate (OceanSpray)

I recently got the ezcaps and super yeast kit as a christmas present (to myself). I'm a complete newb on making alcohol, but after reading enough to barely get the concept of how it works, I went off to find my first juice to try. I found the Cran/Pom juice and realized after getting it home that it says "no sugar added." After slapping my forehead, I chose to assume this just means it doesn't have any sugar ADDED, but still has it's natural properties in tact. I hope this is true. Here are the steps I have followed:

1 - Poured the 2L bottle 90% of juice
2 - Poured 1-2/3 cups of sugar
3 - Added approximately 1/8 teaspoon of super yeast
4 - Realized the sugar wasn't diluted yet and shook the bottle to hell and back
5 - Wrote the date on a strip of tape adhered to the bottle with a stupid look on my face (tongue hanging out) and said "time to wait - herrrrr."

I plan on:
1 - letting it sit for 7 more days on the counter top
2 - refrigerating it for another 4-5 days for "clarity"
3 - and getting wasted on my 14% prison hooch over a game of spades with my tattooed friends

Am I on track, or should I just start over and follow different steps. I'm so confused anymore...

Sounds like your making wine - leave it alone.

Next time, pour about 2 cups of the juice in a 2 quart pan and add the sugar to it. Turn on the heat to high and start stirring. When the sugar melts, it's ready to pour in the 2L bottle (it should never come to a boil - it only takes a few minutes to melt the sugar).

Let it go longer than 7 days, the yeast won't eat all that sugar - unless you like it SWEET!

Good Luck!

I thought I would take a few photos to share for others also doing their first batch. Is this about what it should look like? I tried to take pictures of the bubbles but it's difficult to make the camera focus on the bubbles (point and shoot...).

@SmokeDiverXXX, thank you for your advice. I will let it go for 10 days and call it done fermenting. Is the cap supposed to be puckered up? That's a good sign, right?
