Other size bottles?

Postby valleywood4 » Thu Feb 23, 2012 7:28 am

So I am currently residing in New Zealand and of course didn't bring any 2L bottles with me on my trip. They only happen to sell 1.25L, 1.5L, and 2.25L bottles. Does anyone know how I could adjust the measurements for the recipes or if the smaller bottles would affect timing? Thanks.

Generally, the smaller bottle the less fermentation time. 2.25 is so close to 2L I wouldn't even worry about it.

I'm currently using a 1.5 liter bottle filled only with 1liter of juice... we will see the % after clarification :)

Yeah I just used one of my 1.25L bottles, so do you think this would only take a week (half the time) to get to full alcoholic percentage?

Also, I've done this a few times before, and this time in my bottle it looks like there is some bacteria or something floating around....This hasn't happened with my other attempts. Any thoughts?
